Cutting the Junk

Today is day one and I will be cutting the junk out this week.  My plan is to get rid of processed sugars and all soda.  I will be increasing my protein intake and eating every 2 hours.  Last night I went and picked up protein powder and a multi-vitamin.  I have a couple more supplements like L-Carnitine and either a fish oil or flax oil to get.  I would like to focus more on building muscle then on real weight loss, that will come in time as I build the muscle.

Breakfast
     1/3 cup Mocha Cappuccino Protein Powder and Water
     first time trying this flavor...so amazing!!
Snack
     Frozen Whole Fruit Bar
     1 oz String Cheese
Lunch
     6 Egg Whites with Salsa
     2 cups of Strawberries
     1 cup of Kidney Beans
Snack
     1 cup Cucumber
     1/3 cup Mocha Cappuccino Protein Powder
     1 cup of Skim Milk
Dinner
     6 ozs of Boneless, Skinless Chicken breast
     1 cup of Beets
Snack
     1 Whole Fruit Bar
     1 oz Cheese
     1/3 Cup Vanilla Protein Powder and water...so gross!!

Okay, well today is over and the eating part has been awesome.  I did not get to the gym since Damien's orientation for school lasted longer than expected and the weather took a turn for the worse.  I also did not successfully cut out soda today.  I had a blasting headache after orientation and knew I need caffeine and gave in to my Cherry Coke Zero.  Really, how bad is diet soda?  I know it has artificial sugars and honestly know better but really can't stay away!!  I have increased my water intake more to about 30ozs, I know I need more but its a start..
